Outline to build course

The project deliverable is a design document with data, research and lesson suggestions ready for review. The implementation date would be dependent on how quickly the reivew process took and any changes requested to be changed.

There are 3 options for delivery and quantity of content based on time or budget constraints:

  1. A  5 day bootcamp to receive a certificate, as I did with my Adobe Creative Suites here: http://www.adobetraininginphoenix.com/5-days-creative-suite-bootcamp/ or my Microsoft Office Bootcamp here: http://www.adobetraininginphoenix.com/ms-bootcamp/
  2. A 4-6 continuning ed or college certificate class.
  3. A condensed 16 week below to 8 week college online class for college credit.
  4. A 16 week hybrid or in person college course for college credit.

Student materials

  • Should be visually appealing
  • Housed in Bb (or propose other tool)
  • Objective 1 & 2
    • Gather content from open source or creative commons license or make it up
      • Project Management from Simple to Complex: http://open.umn.edu/opentextbooks/BookDetail.aspx?bookId=36
        • 1.1, 1.2, 1.5 (until project cost), 3, 3.1, 4, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4
        • Can copy, paste, modify, reuse, but need to cite textbook as source
      • Wikimedia.com, pixaby.com, iconfinder.com
    • Assessment quiz or knowledge check questions can be built in Bb (~6 – 12)
  • Objective 3
    • Use Liquid Planner videos
    • Assessment: take screenshot of project and submit via Bb assignment
    • The last sub task in Object 3 will come from a case study that the SME is working on. Please start with what you have now and this will come in later.

 

Instructor preparation

  • Bb
    • Overview of training module with online and in person
    • Copy of student materials
    • Instructions to complete tasks (if any from Bb)
  • Liquid Planner
    • Need instructor prep sheet (job aid)
      • How to set up profile
      • Need list of students name and emails
      • Identify team projects that would be required:
        • example project and
        • project for each team
      • Create projects
      • Add all students as restricted access and associate them with specific project(s) to prep space
      • Generate an example project
        • Difficult: purchase an item that takes six weeks to get in

 

Step 3: Design document for in person training

  • Content TBD
    • How to make project management decisions when things change
    • Facilitate Shelter Lab project management task for group(s)
