  • Grading Rubric attached above: 50 pointsFollow the steps below to complete the digital photo editing project.
    1. Click here to view images of logos – examples. Or, search your internet browser for “logos examples.”
    2. Click here to view a few finished products from previous students.
    3. To create your LOGO, go to LogoMakr. Be sure to watch the screencast above to see how to create and save your logo.NOTE: The free LogoMakr software does not require creating an account, so you can save your logo to your local computer but not in a server space. This means once you close LogoMakr or delete what is on the canvas, it is not stored anywhere to retrieve again. Therefore, you cannot go back to retrieve the citation, without re-creating the images for your logo. See next note below.

NOTE about citation: Be sure to copy the  embed code for the citation information. There will be a prompt to put it on your clipboard. Then, you want to open your Weebly site to your References page. Drag an Embed Code element to your page. From what was saved on your clipboard, PASTE to edit the HTML. It should produce the citation in text format. DO NOT leave the embed code on your References page; it must be in text format.

    EDIT DIGITAL IMAGE

    1. To digital edit an image, go to Pixlr.com Editor. Be sure to watch the screencast above to see how to create and save your images.
    2. Submit BOTH the logo and at least one digital edited image to Blackboard below. You will also include those images on your site.

Click below to view tutorials for Pixlr.com.

    • Then, complete it and save the form as a Word or PDF file, and name it “firstinitial+lastname_SubmissionForm” (e.g. tkisicki_SubmissionForm)

  • Logo Creation and Digital Photo Editing
This module is designed to introduce you to logo creation and digital photo editing. There are a number of free editing tools available. For this project, we will be using two: LogoMakr and Pixlr.com (if you know how to use a different photo editor then go ahead and use that one). The image should be YOUR PROPERTY, meaning that you took the image yourself, you purchased the image, or you have Creative Commons rights (see module 2) to use the image.
